Sunlight AND Privacy - Win Win

When we designed our kitchen we made it a point not to block the windows any more than we had to. When we first bought Lady Lucille one of the windows was blocked by the refrigerator. To make use of the window and add counter space, in our redesign we moved the refrigerator to the other side of the bus and extended the counter top another two feet. We really like the way it opened up the area.

One thing that we had to deal with, however, is the lack of privacy from three uncovered windows. We couldn't hang curtains there because it's right over the kitchen counter and they'd get dirty and wet. So, I made a trip to everyone's favorite online store and found Rabbitgoo 3D, Decorative Glass Mosaic Film. It was easy to apply - just wet the glass, peel the film, position it on the glass, and trim. The vinyl is substantial - I liken it to a shower curtain material. I also bought the Application Tool Kit that comes with a small spray bottle and squeegee to make the job even easier.

The results are phenomenal. We have complete privacy without sacrificing any sunlight and the mosaic pattern fits perfectly in Lucille's motif. The vinyl even offers a bit of insulation against the cold. The manufacturer, Rabbitgoo offers other designs in window film, along with an assortment of other items.
