As onlookers jostled around the table perimeters, participants in the 2018 La Plata County Fair Rabbit Costume Contest began to arrive and get dressed.
There were four entries in this year's Rabbit Costume Contest.
Mermaid Rabbit and Ballerina Rabbit kept moving away from their positions in the line up, trying to get close to each other and say hello.
Based on audience applause, which was divided so closely the judges couldn't make a call, two rabbits took home first place: Ballerina Rabbit and Annie Oakley Rabbit. Congratulations to all participants and their handlers for putting together such fun and fabulous costumes!
The La Plata County Fair Rabbit Costume Contest was held Saturday, August 11th at the La Plata County Fair (during the #demolitionderby).
